Cory Henry is one of the best musicians of our generation.
Period
Exactly.
yes he is indeed but he has his space to grow still, mostly time when he should play less or not at all :)
of any generation, truly
The best keyboard player for sure
It’s February 2024… and I’m still amazed how good this is
Bro 😩😩😩😩🔥🔥🔥🙌
SALUTE T, it’s March 2024 and I had to go back and put this n the playlist 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿❤️✊🏿!!!

i am still in 2025. impossible to get rid of his moog solo. ;)
this snare sound is incredible much love to the engineers
It's insane
John H oh yeah the kick too
Great low end
Yessss
incredibly insane, I couldnt agree more
Sound like a API compressor to me on the snare
The sound engineers on this project are JUST as important as the musicians and vocalists. Big ups to all of the sound engineers out there who are like an extension of us musicians’ passion-the pulse that pumps our blood through the audience.
Thumps up for them too
Amen. Whoever mic’d those drums and mixed everything down needs a pay rise. The reverb on vocals, keys, guitar, drums and bass are all different. Perfect balance. Nice bottom end on the vocals, still kept the vocals out front, while still sharing the 10k-20k hertz.
Who is still watching this body of work in 2024
Here
Can't deny the pocket no matter what year. Timeless headbobbing5
I am and I am from the 50, 60 and 70dys and I play Bass, I really love this type of music. Cory Henry did an awesome job on Marvin Gaye's What's Going On INDEED.
Me, streaming it rn actually lmao
That snare is heavenly
Dude on drums. Your kit sounds incredible
Donkeydill that’s Taron Lockett.... 🔥🔥
@@cedwalker889 in the Pocket Lockett?

Wow fire up
Now I understand when the older generation talked about music with feeling... Everytime I watch this I get chills.... The musicianship is just incredible and Corey is just such a genius...
That wack ass crowd didn't feel shit apparently. Ugh.
Exceto pela parte 8:03 😢
“Fuck the elders, theyre dead..”
Chills indeed!
B.Slade came in and my soul was complete for three minutes
I agree with you friend, B. Slade is a singer that we get to have anger, love and admiration at the same time, he sings like an angel and a devil...
There are those who play music because they can...... and those who feel music because of their passion. There’s not one person on Cory’s team that wasn’t feeling this as much as he was, and it shows. Hands down the best performance I have seen
That's a must for him, interviews and auditions and even just conversations with people who mention that they play something he'll ask how does playing make you feel.
CLEAN.
REAL TALK brother
B Slade didn't have to do us like that😩😩😭😭. And Cory & those Funk Apostles. Sheesh. The best to ever do it!!!!!!
😂😂😂
I'm the white dude in denim jacket -- white hair & white beard! == MOOD!!
😂😂hey!!!! That white dude was feelin it!!! I wouldn't know how to act if I was in the audience. A mess.
Girl he really didnt have to do us like that he really didnt! Uncalled for !!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Y'all think y'all know high notes?!??? Y'all ain't seen my final form yet.
The old guy with the snazzy white hair has a whole vibe
Taron Locket (Drummer) & Sharay Reed(Bassist) best DUO ever...🙌🙌
Bass Sensei Sharay was goin in
💯 👊🏿
Spank and Thad…. best drum/bass duo EVER
I was wondering if that was Sharay Reed!
Yes sharay Reed is a LEGEND
12:09 B.Slade being doing this so casually with a piece of gum in his mouth
B.Slade just slayed those damn high notes
When slade started hitting those high notes I got goosebumps all over!
B-slade and Cory Henry in the same room AT the same TIME!!!!????? #HISTORY. 2 of the BEST TO EVER DO IT!!❤️❤️😎🐐🐐
"I dont want to be another hashtag, don't want to die"
jamerolkg these two niggas are legends
KingMajor 33 YESSIR!!!!!!
The Hendrix “Hey Joe” bassline quoting at the end was beautiful
Yes, and B. Slade's vocals were crazy during that part.🔥
Audience, put your phone down...hearrrrrrrr, feeeeeeeeeel this in the here and now. Powerfull then and surely now. Br Slade, you are a rare gem....much love, you are loved😊
Marvin Gaye would be proud. This is was straight 🔥🔥🔥
Just so you know, they freestyled that whole joint!
God blessed these musicians with an Amazing talent
it's gospel. everything's freestyled except some of the pushes :)
What???? Even when B Slade came in? Or Tonex...
ruclips.net/video/p_PxgSQ9Vf4/видео.html
The original song is inner city blues.
It’s 3 songs freestyled
Inner City Blues - Marvin Gaye
BlackBlood - B. Slade
State of the world - Janet Jackson
B spade and Cory Henry please give us a album
ikr
John Pitre yessir
I would buy it the same day.

B.slade bro...lol not B.spade
Who's watching this in 2024??? I remember growing up watching Tonex sing in church... he took it hard when his father died... Pastor A.C... Tonex was always misunderstand but stood strong in what he believed in...

I LOVE, LOVE the guy's face behind B Slade at 10:30. You can tell that he loves and appreciates music. It's beautiful. All God's children are beautiful!
song name?
Let's all take a moment to appreciate the person who mixed this masterpiece! Truly amazing!
if no goosebumps between 10:40 and 11:15, replay.
what about tears
@@MrR4nD0mDUd3 even better
Dare I say this is one of my favorite live performances of all time across all genres of music?!?!?
It’s quite literally perfect…
I hear you bro. I think i've listened to it 218 .. and it never grows old. Even thought the sound tech had the wrong channel on B Slade's mic when he was trying to kick off.
Who’s watching 2025???👀
✊🏿
Here
Of course 😮💨🫡🔥🎯
ngl got this in my playlist on apple music, i forgot how i did it but
Here
This is much needed music. Lyrics are still true and real. B blessed
Me: what scale are you using?
Cory: yes
I love it when keyboard players use five different scales in one line lol
As a singer i shouldn't have found this as funny as i did......... And I'm not ashamed
So here it is 2 years later, I'm working with RUclips videos playing in moderately low volume and I feel something, I look up and hear B Slade's goosebump producing vocal range. My work stops for a few minutes to acknowledge once again... I don't think some of the audience realize the greatness of what they just heard.
Chill bruh... just chill. Hands down some of the finest music and musicians around.
"Then my heart starts beating like this lord, please help me make it back home safe to my family tonight. Lord please help me I don't really wanna die. I don't wanna be another hashtag, I don't wanna die"
Way too many people in that audience not appreciating this talent
Jeses Christ, please Lord, save these artists, save this Holy music, save we all in the world.
Ohhhh Cory, ohhh Cory!
Genius like Mozart, chopin and the historic founders of the music!
Amen brother.
Opened up RUclips and saw this link and immediately clicked on it. 14 minutes later I'm trying to remember what I originally got on RUclips to search for. Smh. Cory Henry, B. Slade and the band sang about murder while they absolutely murdered this. Straight 🔥
from 12:55 the bass line from "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix.
Thabk you, was driving me crazy trying to place it
I was just saying how beautiful their quoting was for that!
THANK YOU
Thats what it was
he was just vybing like Jimi
Am African but I have never experienced racism but it's sad to see that black people there are being treated like they are not human..but let's continue to pray to God for a heart like His...❤️ full of love and experience His love... Ephesians 3:19.. Amen
Still watching this in 2022🔥🥺
the aux keys got some mad technique on those wheels! Such fine workmanship!
The “aux keys” is Nick Semrad, and yes, he’s a very creative synth player.
Nick is no joke
to me Semrads Key parts make the whole feel of the tune...Cory is fabulous but I come back for these keyboard parts
Damn Nick Semrad
I watch this at least once a week. The vibe, the artistry, the genius that is Corey Henry. Lawwwwwwwd have mercy. He's anointed for sure. And his band. Hallelujah. This is by far one of the best live performances ever. B. Slade. I fell on the floor! This whole performance was soul. Enlightenment. Spiritual. Real. Transformative. Errrrrbody was on! Wow! We went to church!
Love that little "Hey Joe" bass riff that kicked in at 12:55
"I don't want to be another hashtag, I don't wanna die" Man that line was written by the knee of Kaepernick and the Voice of Malcolm and the soul of MLK
It was made also by the 400 years of schizophrenic nature thrust upon our people through the poignant pen of Marvin Gaye. Blessings and safety Black Sons!
well said!!!!
lol, putting Kaepernick in the same sentence as MLK and Malcolm. yeah, ok buddy
And they left it all right there in the air. I cannot imagine ever reproducing what I just heard.... Amen to the original, but I can only hear "...Right Now...!"
Mannnn.... Never heard Henry sing. Also never heard the original song. I had to listen to the original song. This one takes the CAKE! The music, the voices (of course B-Slade), the feeling - IS JUST RIGHT. I'm constantly hitting replay on this joint!
I come here all the time family. The band is locked. The crowd is in tune. We need another live performance. I’ll fly out there anytime
3:05 he didnt even look at the keyboard before he put his hands down wow
Literally since he was 3......::just placed them and played.
when you put fingers on the keyboards, you can feel the notes with the 2 flat notes beside C or 3 flat notes beside F... Then, it's little easy to know where you are on the keys
"Is he dead, yeah let me check, he is still wiggling his leg" and then B goes up in heaven, just stunning, goosebumps everywhere
THAT BEAT IS SIMPLE BUT HARD AT THE SAME TIME....BIG UPS TO THE POCKET KING!
My favorite thing on RUclips... and B. Slade is one of the best vocalists I've ever heard
this crowd had either a drink or a phone in hand and had no clue what they had just witnessed. i'm over here welling up in tears with chills and i'm on my laptop. what a shame smh how did they not feel this !
I think Cory Henry has a cool voice /vibe/TALENT! B. Slade showed out vocally in the best possible way (Amazing!). The Funk Apostles delivered to the fullest. I listen to this performance often. Brilliant!
Man I need that sound at 8:35
Must be the best free style and synergy I have heard for a long time from a band.Cory and Apostles you guys rock. B-Slade kills it on vocals.
I love this man B.Slade 🔥 best male vocalist
Drummer, Guitarist, Singers, Keyboard players, camera guys- EVERYONE THERE IS A REAL TALENT!!!
The world needs this on mainstream radios ffsk!!!!!
This music is so powerful. Especially now
These guys are good to listen every month a year! Church boy is super nice player
I don't know how I just found this, but it is/was much needed.
Happy 80th birthday to the legendary Marvin Gaye! Amazing tribute!
Came here two years later to say that crowd didn’t deserve this performance
Was it just me or many of the audience seemed board?
How could you not go crazy dancing up and down with the amazing vibes these Extraordinary musician did there
Holy cow absolutely fantastic
Did some research... this was actually take number 17.
Not everyone feels music the same way. Stop judging people. If I were there I'd be feeling it too but that doesn't mean I have to jump and slap people in the face and take attention away from the music.
@@relativelybasic you don’t have to jump up and down to be into it but you sound like those lame fucks who show up and stand still and give 0 audience output
The REV 2 sounds crazy man, the synths
This shit just made me cry. The emotion Bro. Come together guys we all bleed the same
This is the best thing I have watched in my entire life. Brings tears to my eyes everytime I watch it.
So sad that this song is making so much sense for us these days...
Was just thinking the same thing
Seth McKerley damn 😭
@biomedbrochacho I think he means Marvin Gaye...
Yeah, what amazing timing and prescience!
This song is almost prophetic
A clear message has been spread thru Cory’s band. This video was amazing.
Love cory Henry, Loved Tonex, and now Lovin B Slade
7:30am. First I've heard of this brotha/band. One of the heaviest joints I've ever listened to. Speaking facts 💯
Adam Agati - met him with Marcus Miller some years ago. Great Jazz guitarist.
So much talent in one room.
B. Slade... what a voice!
Great guys, great music. Blessing !
BSLADE IS THE ICON 👑🔥🙌🏾PERIOD💁🏽♂️🙌🏾👑LAWDTHIS VIDEO IS LIFEEEEEEEEE👑
I got no words to describe how blissful this is, how it makes me wanna cry from sadness to joy and hope. The power of music is incredible, and Cory is a living legend, our kids will know his name and cry tears of joy to his songs
The kick and freaking snare sound.... jesus
I never like to be that guy but this whole video makes me happy. The way everyone in the room is vibing no matter the color of their skin is beautiful. That’s how it’s suppose to be. There’s so much division in this world and still music has the power to bring one another together. God bless.
If artist ran the world, humanity would be on one accord.
Drums are OUTSTANDING!!! Sound man is on point on this one...best I've heard online!!!!
That groove from 8:32.... So buttery 🔥
Cory is just amazing with his Pentecostal back ground learning from Butch Hayward & Melvin Criswell
B slade aka tonex back in his gospel days has an Apostolic background
man how powerful this is especially now
🙏🏾🙏🏾
Finally. Someone knows how to make a 'remake'. Mr Gaye would be proud Mr Henry.
Sharay reed on that base😭🔥🔥🔥the whole group understands each other when they player. It’s like they connected 🙌🏾
May this video uplift you and bless your day! What a wonderful piece!
john rogers ✊🏾
This group ALWAYS makes music feel. True art
only ever heard Cory Henry play keys, didn't know he was so damn good on a mic. What a legend man.
Still amazed in 2025 🙌🏾🔥
Unbelievable talented people... Unbelievable! These are the ones!
The current reigning champ of the keys and the current best male vocalist in my opinion.
Cory's moog solo got my stank face on another level
trusttttt meeee
5:15 When shit goes crazy!
Shits crazy all the way through hahah
shit goes crazy at 10:32
For me as a vocalist) insane skills
this mix is unbelievably good 🙏 good work Chandler Harrod
B-slade will always be Tonèx to me! ✊🏾#legend
Man this was truly out of this world.
Hearing that dude sing is a spiritual experience. I cannot imagine how good that was being there.
Every time I watch this movie I'm blown away by Cory and B Slade and the band. Man, their song is core to the current times of global equality.
Who is watching in January 2025
This just made my whole life
Who’s watching in Jan 2024?
What about feb 2024
@@isaiahschill3401 im here too, bois!
Me three.
Who’s still dealing with the same ish the song talks about in 2024?
Still here❤
Cory Henry and the band did THAT thing. And B. Slade did his thing WITHOUT even having to remove his gum from his mouth. Most impressive!
Gum keeps your throat lubricated.
Solid as ROCK 🔥👊🏿❤️
So much unity. What we need right now. Come together, not separate.
